Spiritual Design Thinking

Let's start from the end... I will share the findings from my dissertation starting in reverse. As I read the existing literature, studied the existing research, and conducted my own studies with church-going technology end-users, I realized the need for a culturally relevant, technologically informed, and spiritually attuned model of spiritual formation for high-tech contexts such as Silicon Valley. I incorporated elements of design thinking, Appreciative Inquiry, 10x thinking, into a new model of spiritual formation that addressed some of the challenges and leveraged many of the opportunities found within our new global high-tech culture. I named this new model of spiritual formation "Spiritual Design Thinking." Here is an illustrated version of this model:
